Ganbare Goemon: Ōedo Daikaiten (がんばれゴエモン 〜大江戸大回転〜? lit. "Oedo Large Rotation") is an action-platformer game part of the Ganbare Goemon series released for the PlayStation on March 29, 2001, and is the nineteenth mainline installment of the overall series.
Synopsis
A villain named Ecorori kidnaps Omitsu and it's up to Goemon and his crew to stop him.
Gameplay
The game is very similar to Ganbare Goemon 2 for the Super Famicom and to Goemon's Great Adventure in that there's mostly side-scrolling levels accompanied by some Impact bosses, and nearly all recycled music and sound effects from Goemon's Great Adventure.
Unlike previous Ganbare Goemon games, which have used sprites or 3D models for the characters, the characters are now represented by pre-rendered CGI, giving them a quasi-3D look. In addition, Yae is featured in her alternate outfit, which first appeared in Mononoke Sugoroku.
