This horde base series I show off a horde base, run you through an in depth build tutorial, toss a 7 day horde at it, and then judge it. I’ll close out with some ratings and upgrade options so you can evolve it to deal with later gamestages and consider traps and other upgrades. The goal is to pack as much information into 13-ish minutes as possible to give insight and decide if this is the best horde base for you.

The Winding Stair is an early-mid game horde base that can easily be built by day 7. It leverage slowing mechanisms to spread out the zombies to allow you to pick them off at range and then safely engage in close combat. It doesn’t leverage spikes or any other type of mechanics that require significant repair after the horde night. The Winding Stair has the potential to be an all-in-one horde base + crafting and inventory.
