7 Days To Die (A15.2 + Valmod), A Journey Along Nostalgia Lane, S4E3
With a new alpha of 7 Days To Die Coming out, it can be fun to look back and ask: What is the best version of the game? (Including mods.)
For me, the definitive version of 7 Days To Die is alpha 15 with Valmod. Although the latest versions have fixed bugs and added some nifty features, it is A15 and Valmod that made for the ideal version of the game for me.
What made this so great?
Although the map feels empty compared to the latest crowded maps, the random map creation was brilliant. And who could hate the existence of hub-city at the origin of the map.
Another aspect of the game that I miss in the latest versions, is that two days before every horde night was "dog day" and all the glorious terror that it brought to the game.
Then there is Valmod itself which provided some of the best progression in the game.
I have other reasons for loving this version of 7 Days To Die but lets fire it up and start a journey along nostalgia lane and remember that the old versions of the game were great games in their own right.
Normally I'd play 7 Days To Die in permadeath mode, but I'd like to explore this old build and see what memories I have. In that case I might just keep playing until I get bored.
What is your favorite version of 7 Days To Die and why?
