3Today on 7 Days to Die Alpha 17. We continue to build up our base in preparation for the horde. We also carry out another task from our special trader, clear zombies.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), developed by The Fun Pimps is a survival horror sandbox, with RPG elements and somewhat tower defence due to base building and setting up traps.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ) is set after World War Three which of course destroyed most of the world, however we do have a few “safe” areas set in the fictional county of Navezgane in Arizona.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), players need to survive by finding or creating shelter, which can be done by building from wood, stone or metal, dig an underground base or in the side of a cliff. Players must also find food stuffs which can also be cooked and water.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), players need to go out and scavenge items which can help them make weapons, base upgrades and traps to fight hordes of zombies.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), players can spawn in a random location in a preset map Navezgane or randomly generated map to try and survive the zombie hordes and elements that most survival games have, the need of food and water which you can die of starvation, injury and illnesses.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), is a voxel-based game which holds some similarities to Minecraft, allowing the player to construct simple buildings or destroy buildings and objects in a physics simulated world. Buildings do have a structural integrity, which can lead buildings or caves to collapse if a few building rules are not followed.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), tools, weapons, armor and vehicles degrade and need repairing, so players must hunt for resources and items to use to be able to repair with.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), players can also hunt animals for food or be hunted by a few hostile animals such as wolfs, boars etc..
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), zombies are affected by day and night cycles. During the day zombies are slow and easy to deal with, yet during the night if you keep the option on in the game settings, zombies can run, they attack harder and seem to be a little tougher overall to kill.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), the more days that pass tougher and more aggressive zombie types start to spawn.
7 Days to Die ( patch Alpha 17 ), players increase in experience by carrying out actions within the world, chopping trees, digging, taking zombies down and creating items. This allows players to level up and distribute skill points into various areas of the character skill sets, which unlocks abilities to create higher tier items or technology such as the gyrocopter which is the highest tier in the intelligence skill set.
