7 Days to Die Prefab Building for Gnamod Nomad Mode - Episode 2
Greetings everybody and welcome to our 7 Days to Die Prefab building livestream! We'll be helping out Haidrgna with Gnamod Nomad Mode by building some prefabs for the world that he will be able to add in, to give his mod some extra variety! What features are in Gnamod, Nomad Mode, and Necropolis?
- New and more challenging recipes that make more sense. For example campfires now require a torch to make as well as the stones (simulating how it is lit), and a barbed club can only be made on a workbench with an iron reinforced club and barbed wire.
- Zombie overhaul! All zombies are now tougher, and there are many different variants. All zombies have many different walktypes, so you may see a screamer crawling on all fours, and a spider zombie that stands upright. There's also a low chance for zombies to spawn as ferals even as early as day 1.
- New zombies (WIP) - Radiated screamers, vultures, direwolves, dogs and bears will be coming your way. Some late-game zombies also explode for massive block damage, so steel is important!
- Looting overhaul! Now loot containers have more loot in them that would make sense. Sometimes you can find bags full of goodies, but in the early game your loot chances are much lower than in Vanilla. As your player level increases, the chances for you to get loot also increases.
- RWG overhaul! The world is now more diverse and there are a wider variety of biomes, including a spooky forest, birch planes, alpine and radiated wastelands to explore. The look of these biomes is also much more diverse, for example a desert will have many towering dunes as well as flat expanses, the wastelands are a lot more craggy, and the plains are a lot flatter.
- NOMAD MODE: New prefabs! There will be a whole variety of balanced prefabs added, with both trapped and non-trapped variants! We'll be making the non-trapped ones onscreen, and the trapped ones offscreen... muahaha!
- NOMAD MODE: Even harder recipes! The workbench becomes an essential part of creating most items in-game, making it extremely difficult to build much of anything early on. You'll have to stick around prefabs for shelter, and fortify it so the zombies don't climb up! Oh yeah, all zombies can climb in Nomad mode... And don't even think of trying to dig an underground base - there's only 4 layers of stone before you hit bedrock!
- NECROPOLIS: Come explore the unforgiving wastelands of Necropolis, where most of civilisation lies in ruin. Tough zombies are everywhere as well as many traps across the world. Watch where you step - a landmine could send you to an early grave. This is for the real hardcore players - expect to die, a lot!
