Sloth, in MMO design terms, is about lazy design, from palette swapping to numbers getting bigger without the gameplay changing.

and the absolute worst, TIME GATING.

Time Gating is game design which forces the player to slow down, even if they don't want to, it forces sloth upon the player without choice.
