8 Times Actors Went Too Far On Set
130Whoever said acting was a fun job?! I don’t know about you, but after seeing everything that Heath Ledger went through to play his characters in Joker and Brokeback Mountain, I have a whole new respect for these hard working actors. The fact that it took Leonardo DiCaprio four decades and the experience of eating raw bison and sleeping inside an animal carcass to earn an Oscar is very telling! There are so many actors who take their method acting way too far on set and do some really insane things! Ashton Kutcher landed himself in the hospital not once, but twice, for his performance of Steve Jobs in the 2013 biographical film “Jobs.” Even his wife, Mila Kunis, said he was taking it way too far! There are also the questionable actions of Jamie Dornan when he was trying to get into the mind of his character on “The Fall.” He actually full-on stalks a woman he saw randomly at the train station! He said he felt incredibly dirty doing it, but he learned some valuable stuff when it came to playing his character. Rooney Mara also went through some intense body modifications for her role in “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.” For her it was really important to get those things done because it was like a second costume due to how much nudity there was in the movie.
