8/5/2014: StarCraft II HOTS - DarkNemesis Plays Ladder, Epic Match that Promoted me to Silver
At 1.25X Speed!
Well, it's been a while since I last played on the StarCraft II South East Asian Ladder. I only just come back to Laddering SC2. You may say that I'm rusty which I am and since it's been a long while since I played; now I'm even worse. I already submitted this to Husky as my Bronze League Heroes Submission.
I just played this match that Promoted me from Bronze to Silver today and I managed to catch it off stream so you can see from my perspective. Since this guy decides to be a dick, the match lasted an hour real time, 1 hour 40 minutes in Game Time. There was like some comeback from me in my match because for some time I was down to my last minerals to build my CC after all of my mining CCs went bust. Carlz was out-macro-ing me with a MegaRacks and this cheesy move of moving his massive production MegaRacks line from base to base. But the thing that saved me was my massive Upgrade Advantage over Carlz. My Infantry was one 3-3, Mechs at 2-3, Building Upgraded armor, and Hi-Sec Auto Tracking. Carlz was stuck on 1-1 (later 2-1) infantry and Naked Mechs for the whole game. He had a tonne of tech; he could use and has used everything including Battlecruisers, Banshees, the most irritating wasn't the drops but were the random widow mines he scattered all over the map. Once I got wind of his moving crap, I decided to ditch tanks much later and just go straight full Marine and Medavac.
For the duration, I decided to increase the speed by 25%. My brother happened to join me during the last 15-20 minutes of the game. And if you see the units lost tab: you'll find that I managed to make him lose 1000 units and structures and crap.
