This is an amazing hack of the original NSMBW made over 3.5 years, and well worth the wait.
By pressing A, B, and the + button on the Wii-mote in the star coin menu (pause on the map and select Star Coins), you can activate "Hard Mode," basically the same as a daredevil comet run in Super Mario Galaxy (anything kills you in one hit) and time limits are stricter.
