Prebuilt PC's are always more expensive, and you'll often pay a premium for the labour and brand name. Today we're taking a look back at an old Alienware PC that once cost $1000 to buy, but can now be recreated using very similar components for under $150. But have the years been kind to such a system, or is it worth opting for something else entirely?

Whilst our system is by no means identical, the base components are the same and should offer similar performance to the original 6 year old machine.

Today we tested Fallout New Vegas, Crysis, Dota 2, Skyrim and Fallout 4. Our test specs were kept as close as possible to the original where necessary and include an Intel Core i3 530, 4GB of DDR3, Radeon HD 5670 1GB GDDR5, and Windows 7.

Thanks for watching :)
