It has been a long, long time. Too long.

In this video, I start explaining in excruciating detail everything about the character select screen of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, my favorite game of all time. How excruciating are we talking? Well, this video is one hour, six minutes, and fourteen seconds long. There is ZERO gameplay in this video - I'm only talking about the new game screen.

And yes, the book in the thumbnail is actually from Alpha Centauri. Buckle up, this one is going to be a doozy.

NOTE: I am playing using the original seven factions of Alpha Centauri, although I will be playing using the Alien Crossfire expansion. I'll make sure I note the new parts from Alien Crossfire as I go.
