A Bucket of Blood is a 1959 American comedy horror film directed by Roger Corman, starring Dick Miller.

In the quirky and dark comedy "Bucket of Blood," we follow the misadventures of Walter Paisley, a bumbling busboy at a beatnik café in 1950s Southern California. Walter is a bit of a square, desperately trying to fit in with the cool, artsy crowd that frequents the café. One fateful night, after hearing the poetic ramblings of Maxwell H. Brock, Walter is inspired to try his hand at sculpting.

Returning home, Walter accidentally kills his landlady's cat and, in a moment of panic, decides to cover the poor feline in clay to hide the evidence. To his surprise, the resulting sculpture is hailed as a brilliant piece of modern art by the café's patrons, who are unaware of its macabre origins.

Encouraged by this newfound recognition, Walter spirals into a frenzy of creating more "sculptures," each one more bizarre and grotesque than the last. His artistic endeavors soon turn deadly as he resorts to increasingly desperate measures to find "models" for his work.

As Walter's fame grows, so does his paranoia and guilt. The café's patrons, initially enamored with his unique creations, begin to suspect that something is amiss. The tension builds as Walter struggles to maintain his façade and avoid the consequences of his actions.

In a climactic confrontation at the café, Walter's secret is finally revealed, and chaos ensues. The film ends with Walter fleeing the scene, leaving behind a trail of horrified onlookers and a pile of his macabre "art."

"Bucket of Blood" is a darkly humorous satire that pokes fun at the world of abstract art and the pretentiousness of the beatnik subculture. It's a wild ride that will leave you laughing and cringing in equal measure.
