I played the 4X Stellaris-like, Distant Worlds 2! The main feature is that many of the background organisational tasks can be automated, and in fact are automated by default. This leaves the player to focus on what they want to control. However, there are some gaps in the theory that cause issues as our campaign to dominate the galaxy goes along.
