It's time to try and describe a campaign in the gigantic XCOM 2 Long War of the Chosen, a combination of War of the Chosen and The Long War mod, promising a long and punishing campaign. However, I have also altered the game in an attempt to increase the pace and keep it interesting: all guns do double damage, ours and theirs. Short, sharp, and deadly engagements will be the order of the day. This is paired with another important change: cover blocks attacks more. So flank attacks are more important, and more deadly.

As mentioned in the video, I also ended up making infiltration easier, then a bit harder again, due to worries that I was going to get destroyed. Plus it's more fun with more guys to control at once, I think.

Other changes I made: 3 extra mobility for all xcom troops, cheaper recruitment, faster levelling, no limits to loot drops.

My hope was that this would make the game quicker, easier, and allow me to actually finish it, something I failed at on my last attempt a couple of years ago. Was I right? Let's take a look!

The pace of the commentary will be gradually increasing over time, as I realise just how much I'll need to cut out to have any hope of reaching the end without posting 10 hours of play-by-plays.

ALSO sorry but the frame rate is lower in the first 30 mins for reasons I can't solve, used to be the whole video so I improved it somewhat! Annoying, but I've come too far to not start mass posting xcom 2 footage now, it's just my destiny.
