A Cozy Knight's Tale | Hidalgo (Cozy Storybook Puppet Game - Demo)
92Hidalgo is a completely adorable game where we use puppets to tell the story of Don Quixote, one of the most important works of Spanish literature.
The game takes place in a hand-crafted world where everything has been made by a Mum and her two children. Hills are made of cardboard, chimneys are paper drinking straws, the animals are tiny little origami creations, it's all utterly beautiful.
Our characters are puppets, on strings, and we have to take them on a journey through this gorgeous world. Initially we start with just Don Quixote, who needs to find himself his armour, his steed and his squire! Before too long we have everything we need, including Sancho the squire and his donkey.
The residents of our little toy town need our help, so we assist them as best we can. We move a cart out of the way in the town square, we unlock the town gates, we round up some sheep, it's all very lovely.
And then there's a somewhat unexpected boss battle against... an evil windmill?

Throughout five chapters, you'll relive the most iconic moments of the novel, playing as Don Quijote and Sancho. You'll have the chance to battle windmills and even rule an island, all in the quest to win the heart of your beloved Dulcinea... ♡
As we follow Quijote and Sancho on their adventures, you also uncover the story of a family of a single mother and her children. This family brings the world of Don Quijote and his story to life using recycled materials.
While the mother, absorbed in her work, barely has time for her children, she is unaware that they are facing serious problems at school, including bullying that one of them endures, as reflected in the figure of Don Quijote.
Together, they must navigate all the adventures and challenges of this classic tale while confronting a painful loss that will lead them to find strength in their family bond.
𖣘 Environmental puzzles
The main mechanics include third-person environmental puzzles in which you'll have to coordinate Sancho and Quijote to solve them.
𖣘 First Person Perspective Puzzles
Sometimes, you'll access Don Quijote's point of view, and you'll have to solve first-person perspective and parallax puzzles that will reconstruct Don Quijote's delusional imagination.
𖣘 Epic Boss Fights
Don Quijote and Sancho will face fiercely adorable enemies in family-friendly boss fights, products of Don Quijote's imagination.
In this journey through a handcrafted La Mancha made from recycled materials and accompanied by music primarily played on Spanish guitar, this puppet world comes to life in a colorful, cozy, and relaxing style.
