Or to be more specific Mario Kart Double Dash for the Gamecube. Easily one of Nintendo’s strongest releases in the franchise almost became even stranger. Because in an interview before the game's release, Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto stated…
“that we are having a series of meetings about Mario Kart for Gamecube and we have come to the point where we will be making some drastic changes to the last games, Sonic the Hedgehog might be one of the drivers!”
