Did you ever play AREA 51... the classic arcade game from 1995 that completely blew up the arcades with its digitized graphics and super gory (for the time) gameplay? Well, did you know that the game wasn't just good for sweaty-palmed teenage lads... but also Atari! The company was losing personnel left right and center, due to Atari Jaguar failing and pretty much every game... also failing. One of those teams was working on an on-rails shooter called bounty hunter but after leaving Atari decided as a last-ditch effort to give the unfinished game to an external company to finish it off and they changed into AREA 51... A game that was so well received that it quite literally saved the company from bankruptcy
