A Critical Thought on Effective Progression Models for Game Design
Today's Critical Thought looks at progression models in video games. Great game design allows for players of different skill levels to progress at their own rate without impacting the other. I talked about games like Cook, Serve, Delicious! that handicap expert players and why that's not good.
The Mario Galaxy series is a great example of providing challenge to different skill levels and letting everyone grow at their own pace.
