A Custom Track in the Mario Kart DS Kiosk Demo
112Testing the NKM validation of Mario Kart Toolbox 2, which allows us to edit the NKM version present in the Kiosk Demo without corrupting it in the process! I used the visible Debug Menu hack for the Kiosk Demo made by Marioiscool246, since it makes actually getting to the course easier (also because it's cool)
The CT featured in this video is a work in-progress version of N64 Royal Raceway that made a convenient test case, since it's one of the more recent CTs I've made with the intention of putting into CTGP Nitro. I create the geometry, and did the UV mapping, as well as most of the textures (VanillaDora gave me the base texture for the block walls), while Jacanapes did the vertex colors, and assisted me with the skybox texture.
Bottom screen maps have also been made for this course but aren't featured in this video since modding the Kiosk Demo is relatively rare. This is something I wanted to do for fun, because I was bored.
