Usually, we would keep something like this a secret for most of development, but given the nature of a feature like this, it wouldn't have any impact on the game if we didn't say anything.
The next release of CTGP Nitro will include an optional tricking mechanic that you'll be able to turn off and on from a menu within CTGP Nitro itself.
The version featured in this video is a prototype, so the way it functions may change a little between now, and release.
Future releases of Mario Kart Toolbox will provide an option to use an unused flag in your KCL files that will identify a surface in your course collision as trickable in CTGP Nitro.
Any KCL files generated with this unused flag set will still work normally in regular MKDS, so there's no need to worry about any issues with cross-compatibility.
It is our hope that showing this to CT authors will give all of you the opportunity to apply trickable surfaces to your CTs as soon as a supporting version of Mario Kart Toolbox is available in either new CT submissions, or updates to pre-existing CTs.
It should be noted however that any CT submitted to CTGP Nitro will be required to work without tricks, any CTs designed around mandatory tricking will be rejected.

This feature was made possible by the reverse engineering and research by Gericom, Ermelber and Rocoloco321, and Rocoloco321 himself is the one developing the logic for this feature, along with advice from Marioiscool246, as well as Perlite for initial research on implementing tricks into MKDS.
