Quickly departing from its previous 10th anniversary, Kali Linux 2023.2 is now here, said to be available for immediate download or upgrade for those with an existing Kali Linux installation. Coming with the Xfce audio stack update, the new version provides better sound for Kali's default desktop using PipeWire. The new version that comes with the Gnome Shell upgrade includes icons and menu updates. It is stated that it is strange that Kali has two separate meta packages, so these two packages were merged and only kali-desktop-i3 remained.
