My Thoughts:
A flawless execution!
With over 200+ hours in the pancake version of the game, this game has finally come alive. This game was designed to be played and experienced in VR. This is AMAZING!
Controls on The Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers is perfect and I was up and running within minutes. Why oh why they never used these controls for DOOM VFR And Fallout 4 VR is beyond me!!!!
This might be an old game but in VR it looks absolutely stunning. This title has blown me away and I was expecting a mess just like the launch of Doom and Fallout.
This game runs fluid and flawless on my GTX 1060 (6GB) with all settings set to MAX and Super Sampling set to 1.4. The game looked very blurry for me at first, but turning OFF 'Dynamic Resolution' made the game crisp and clear.
Combat is the only thing that lets this game down, but it's no different to how the original pnacake version played. Melee weapons do the job but they don't feel like they are making contact with the enemy. I found the Bow to be the most satisfying and I haven't tried spells and magic yet.
The tracking on the bow did feel a little bit off at times, and this is something you need to trial and error to find the perfect position and angle for firing. But these little issues did not take away the magic of the experience, and I look forward to spending many, many hours exploring this amazing world that comes alive in VR. (See my Video above)
If you ever only want to play 1 game in VR with hundreds of hours... look no further.
