A good adaptation of The Judas Contract would need to be focused on more than just one character
As a follow up to my earlier Batman & Son/Son of Batman comparison review, I started doing this as a refresher on what Deathstroke's origin story was and how his character history is better balanced as an Agent of Change rather than as an Agent of Evil.
And then I saw that this comicbook story was longer than I remembered, so I had to then focus on more stuff than I wanted.
While I can see that Terra was created as an evil character meant to be killed off, I applaud to Sam Liu and Ethan Altbacker on trying to reinvent her to be more layered character, but that does not excuse them doing a halfassed job at it by doubling down on aspects that no one appreciated in the first place.
As that happened, I can only see that they ended up doing some good things in adapting Marv Wolfman's and George Pérez's 1984 New Teen Titans story arc, but most of them were then cancelled out by all the wrong things in the end.
That balancing out then just worsened Teen Titans: The Judas Contract into a lesser version of it's source material.
