In this episode, I play through the third and fourth levels of A Halloween Walk, dodging all the dirty dough while playing my didgeridoo. :P
Be very careful with the midpoint room in the third level, because there are ways it can easily break your game. (How did this hack get accepted on SMW Central back then?)
Also, I discover a bonus room in the fourth level that I don't think I ever knew about before, and it turned out to be quite important too!
Now, I was initially having major issues with VideoPad lagging horribly while annotating this video, much like what happened while working on my video of Petal Crash episode 22. And, I was initially just gonna struggle to only include the third level in this episode.
However, as I pretty much suspected, Avira was the primary problem. If I disable the real-time protection on Avira (something I was reluctant to do at first, of course), I'm suddenly able to use VideoPad perfectly fine, with like no lag or hanging issues at all! So, I decided to include the fourth level in this episode as well, knowing I could quickly get it done with little stress, bringing this episode up to a more standard length for me.
I have no idea what happened last week to suddenly make Avira so naughty, with it continuing to kidnap my Sprite Tool program against my direct orders, and bringing VideoPad's functionality to a near halt. Must've been some update that happened which went horribly wrong for me somehow. Anyway, at least for now, I can just disable Avira while doing VideoPad stuff, but it would be nice to eventually figure out a more permanent solution.
Third upload attempt. I misspelled "successfully" at 3:12, omitting the last "s" somehow. This was quickly spotted by chance (the YouTuber named "chance"), so I fixed it and reuploaded, which thankfully didn't involve sitting through minutes of lag just to type in that one missing letter.
...Of course, turns out there was a second typo that I didn't learn about until after publishing the second one, with "playtrhough" at 10:41. Well, I guess I'm gonna just keep fixing and reuploading this video as many times as it takes to clean out all the typos. But, maybe third time's the charm here?
