A Hat in Time - E03 "Many Vault Codes"
0A Hat in Time is a platformer developed and published by Gears for Breakfast for Steam in October 2017, and published by Humble Bundle for PS4 and Xbox two months later as well as for Switch in 2019. Early on in the game, as the Hat Kid's ship passes over the planet, a member of the planet's mafia tries to collect a toll, and as a result, ejects her and the Time Pieces that fuel her ship to the planet below. She must find enough time pieces to fuel her ship and get home before her rival, Mustache Girl, can get her hands on them.
This game takes inspiration from other 3D platformers like Super Mario 64, Spyro, Psychonauts, and Banjo-Kazooie. Like those 3D platformers, there are lots of collectibles to find, such as new hats that grant new abilities, decorations for the ship, and palette swaps for Hat Kid. And like Super Mario Sunshine, the level can vary depending on what Time Piece you're actively searching for.
A Hat in Time is available for Steam for Windows and Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch for $29.99 for the base game, with Seal the Deal and Nyakuza Metro being available in the ultimate edition, or separately for $4.99 each.
