A Hat in Time - The Lab (Hatless Badgeless)
20This has been in the making for many, many months all leading to the release of Nyakuza Metro bringing the final piece to the puzzle, the Boop emote. It allows us a way to clip through walls, more specifically, the walls of the Lab (with some help).
The problem with Boop clip is the fact that you can't move while you're in what I refer to as the Falling Ledgegrab state (the status you enter when you use Boop causing animation shenanigans with the ledgegrab). Because of this, we either needed
A. A Ledgegrab spot with a wall vertically connected
or B. a way to move
Sadly A was not an option so immense creativity was required to use option B.
The result is this strat, we get 2 Beach Balls and stack them in order to link them together. The Beach Ball a character is holding is NOT solid, but the one linked is! From there, we had to move the balls to a similar height because the collision in the area around the Lab is horrid. Then Boop Clip onto the ball, move the balls to the wall, and bam, we're in the Lab.
Sadly this cannot be used to enter Nyakuza (even if we somehow could) because we have no way to exit the Lab (for now).
