A look at the demo for A Monster's Expedition: Through Human Expeditions, as part of The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition.

This is a block-pushing Sokoban-style puzzle game in the vein of Bloxorz and Stephen's Sausage Roll. You have to cut down and roll tree logs to make bridges between islands, as you read some quirky exhibits about the silly little things humans used to do. It starts out simple, but if some of these last puzzles are any indication, the full game will probably end up being seriously mind-melting. I enjoy the art and the jokes, and the undo and retry functions are well implemented. This is yet another game with absurdly quiet audio though. I don't know what's up with so many of these games just having barely audible game sounds. This needs to be blasted up like 10 times over at max volume. I managed to boost it well enough on stream, so that may not come across, but while playing I could almost not hear a single thing.
