A Mysterious Disturbance - Destiny 2: Shadowkeep - Ep. 2 - Back To The Moon
5Welcome to Mythkiller Productions! As always I will be your host, SiriMythkiller, and I am SO excited to FINALLY head back to the moon and to touch base with Eris Morn, who has been missing since the old Tower fell.

Turns out our Eris has been up to some shenanigans. While exploring the deep tunnels of the moon, she discovered something incredible and horrifying. Apparently whatever she woke up caused enough seismic activity to stir the Hive and to alert Zavala. So off to the moon I was sent along with other Guardians to establish a landing zone.
In our absence, a giant red Hive keep had been built. It was firmly sealed by a set of seals and a giant Shrieker Eye. After we defeated it, Ikora popped in to the Vanguard channel and told us Eris was alive and had been in regular contact with the Warlock Vanguard.
Before we could talk more, I arrived at my next challenge; kill another Shrieker Eye with even more health. Although I was alone, this time I got a tank! Three tanks actually which was very helpful when the Shrieker blew up the first one. After I destroyed the Eye, I had to clean up all the thralls before I moved into the keep.
Inside I found a maze of dark and spooky tunnels filled with more Thralls. A new type of enemy, Nightmare Thralls, also arrived. These yellow-bar enemies were tough and hit MUCH harder than their red-bar counterparts. It took me a few minutes but I eventually made it out.
What I found was a creepy crevice with spectral figures ringing the edges. At the end, I found an even more horrifying sight; a monolithic pyramid we have only ever seen once before, in the after-credit cutscene of the Red War campaign.
I got a taste of its power when I arrived in an open area with more shades and a pulsing red orb. Of course, I had to shoot it. Out popped Crota, the son of Oryx and our original nemesis on the moon. He brought tons of back up in the form of regular Thralls and Acolytes as well as the new Nightmare Thralls. There was a lot of jumping and running and shooting until I took the first quarter of his health.
Crota then started to heal and summoned Nightmare versions of Ghual and the Fanatic as well! There was no way we could fight them all but running away was going to be tricky. Unless, of course, Eris Morn teleported us with one of her portals.
We spoke to the strange woman on a balcony overlooking the pyramid. She had very little new information to add but was determined to get us inside and find out the truth! And by us, of course she meant me.
