Note: I cut a ton of failures out of this video, as I spent a ton of time fighting that level 16 boss, trying to reach the spider boss, and a bunch of other similarly fatal misadventures.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is the spiritual successor to the highly reviewed Xenoblade Chronicles, and while neither really has much to do with the other, they're both fantastic JRPG's and truly top tier games on the Wii/Wii U. Xenoblade Chronicles X features a fully customizable avatar, much in the same vein as Phantasy Star Online, with online side-missions to complete in cooperation with other players as well (though I'm not sure how many of these I'll do.)

Overall, X is gorgeous, with massive zones filled to the brim with all manner of alien beasts. The combat is a nice upgrade from the mmo-style autoattacking from the original game, and has a ton more customization as well. Oh. And it has mechs. Eventually.
