Migrant domestic workers are facing unprecedented pressures as the pandemic hits the economies of both Hong Kong and their home countries. How can they cope and take control of their finances in these challenging times? In this one-hour introductory session, an expert from Enrich HK, a charity that promotes the economic empowerment of domestic workers, will discuss ways to budget, save and reduce debt. This is part of the FCC’s outreach initiatives.

Esther Guevara has more than 26 years of experience in branding, marketing and communications after graduating from De La Salle University in the Philippines. She has been living in Hong Kong for more than 15 years and has a passion for helping empower migrant workers to reach their goals. Through Enrich, she delivers workshops on personal finance, money and family, confidence and communication.

About Enrich HK: Founded in 2007, the Hong Kong charity runs various initiatives from skills-building workshops to mentoring and financial counseling for migrant domestic workers. In 2019, Enrich won the ‘Financial Education Champion’ Award from the Investor and Financial Education Council in Hong Kong. It also offers employers the chance to sponsor helpers for its 28-hour, five-workshop program on investment, communication and entrepreneurship. Learn more at @ships.
