In his biography of the new U.S. president, Evan Osnos draws on lengthy interviews with Biden and conversations with more than a hundred others, including President Barack Obama, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg, and a range of advisers, opponents and Biden family members to examine how Biden overcame personal tragedy to become the 46th president of the United States.
