6A PLAGUE TALE: INNOCENCE Part 1 "The De Rune Legacy" 1440p 60fps
~1348. The plague ravages the Kingdom of France. Amicia and her younger brother Hugo are hunted by the Inquisition through villages devastated by the disease. On their way, they will have to join forces with other orphans and escape huge swarms of rats using fire and light. Aided only by the link that binds their fates together, the children will face the darkest days of History in their struggle to survive…and the time of innocence ends.
~A Plague Tale: Innocence swept players up in a dark fantasy tale spun from the horrors of the Black Plague. Playing as the teenager Amicia, you clash with the French Inquisition, superstitious locals, and a seemingly unending horde of rats as you protect your young stepbrother, Hugo. Along the way,
you meet several colorful companions, some who join you on your journey across France in search of a safe haven. It’s a harrowing journey right up until the end.
~~I found it interesting that the collectibles you can find in the game have some lore as well as some back story! I would have never guessed that they used soap in the 12th century to help with the spread of disease. Somewhere in history, that practice got lost as doctors did not scrub as they do today until the 1950s.
Herb, they burn to ward off evil spirits. I guess if those evil spirits were fleas then I bet it is pretty effective. The same as we burn Off! incense to keep mosquitos away. The rats of the black plague may have been the vehicle of the plague but were the fleas that transmitted the disease. Another thing that is amazing is how the NPC's in the game are practicing social distancing in the game. In 1348 it was more to do with keeping out evil spirits and hence the Inquisition of the time by burning those infected at the stake. Thank goodness we have evolved LOL! I bet when this game released in May 2019 never thought that a Plague Tale: Innocence would be so poignant! So far the storyline of the game has been pretty spot on and entertaining. Enjoy HRBS!
