A Platforming Metroidvania | Elypse Demo
0Hello everyone! More demos from the Steam Next Fest. This is Elypse, a gorgeus metroidvania with a main focus in platforming. Honestly the dash/jump mechanic is really similar to Ori, same with the attack effects, so it is not hard to enjoy this game... It is like Ori and the Blind Forest, but with a hellish background.
Design is cool, gameplay feels great and music is good. So far in the demo there is not a lot of the metroidvania experience, it is mostly a 2D action platformer, so you should give it a try if you are into the genre.
My only small complain would be that the jump feels off at the start of the game. It kinda speeds up and then decelerate way too fast. Although, after playing a couple of minutes, you get used to it.
