A Potion Builder Roguelike | Alchemia: Creatio Ex Nihilo
1This is one of the most creative Roguelike Deckbuilders I have played in a while. The potion crafting makes for a very enjoyable game. The deckbuilding comes into play by adding reagents to build your deck to make more potions. You do not need to know the recipe to craft a potion but if you do not know the order it can be hard to guess the order for the potion; you can also get hints. Sometimes it is worth it and if you guess correctly then you will unlock the recipe. This is cool and means if you can remember the base recipe for the potion then you can start trying to craft that potion; that gets randomized every run. I also really like the hand-drawn art style.
This game is still in Early Access so there are some balancing changes that are needed to be done. Yet, this game is very fun and has a lot of potential.
Alchemia is a turn-based strategy roguelike with a hint of puzzle. You'll collect alchemical reagents, building your own personalized combat satchel, and combine them into magical recipes, unique to each run, to battle against outlandish foes.
