A Procedurally Generated FPS Roguelite | SULFUR demo
Hello everyone! I think this is a new demo, or maybe one I missed for a long time. Here you have SULFUR, a procedurally generated fps roguelite(?), not sure about the last part, because the storage didn't seem too roguelite, but that's what I can see from the steam store page at least. Graphics are kinda unique and gameplay is fun; I think this game is going to bet on replayability and how much you can be customizing your equipment. I have a few things to say though, starting by the fact that I want a recipe list or something to know what I need to cook, because there were way too many pots and way too many items, and I could just never get anything to cook (I tried way more times than what you can see here); on the other hand, there is a huge lack of shops... At least, I consider there should be a mandatory pre-boss shop, because there are just too many items and not a lot to do with them (or not a lot I could notice). Lastly, I feel like the whole first act, before getting to the first boss, became too repetitive at some point (maybe you don't see it by watching only because I skipped some sections)... By the end I found a few new enemies that made it more fun, but the stages felt like the same and after clearing the 3 first mini-levels I was a bit bored of the enemies already... Maybe shorter levels?
Anyways, great game, a lot of fun (with co-op it would be even better, but I don't know if that would ruin the story), a few performance issues after the boss fights, but overall it was running with no issues. I really recommend people to give this a try.
