A Bullet Hell Action Platformer Roguelite | Arksync demo
Hello everyone! This ia a demo for game that is about to be released. This is Arksync, a 2D bullet hell action platformer roguelite with quite a nice pixel art, set in a dystopian world full of machines and robots. The full game looks like it will be a campaign, with each level being a "short" roguelike stage where you will have to restart it fully if you die. Sadly... I messed up by the start, because I skipped the tutorial, thinking they were asking for difficulty (while I was editing this, I saw that it said tutorial on the screen), reason why I struggled more than the necessary (I am assuming they explain the healing and equipment there).
I have mixed feelings about gameplay itself, but I think half of that is because I skipped the tutorial by mistake. With that being said, I still think rooms are too short, with too many projectiles and small enemies, and lack of contrast of colors between background and some enemies makes it really hard to spot some of them. Also, having no invulnerability while dashing makes the game harder (you would usually think that you do have invulnerability, and because of that you will get even more damage), but I think in the long run it will be balanced if you manage to remember your double jump too... but it will be hard with all this bullet hell going around.
Sadly, my gameplay finished with a bug, so no boss fight this time (I already informed the developers about it, and it is being fixed while you watch this).
You can wishlist Arksync on steam, it is going to be released on March 21st https://store.steampowered.com/app/1828800/Arksync/
