0There is a lot of videos on YT with various games tested on Steam Deck. Most of them present the footage of the screen and how the game looks ON Steam Deck. Some people, however, use their Steam Deck as a desktop PC or a regular console. My tests intend to show how the game looks and performs on an external screen, in full HD (not in 4k for performance reasons) with certain scaling options.
Here is another test, pretty unusual one: Sword and Fairy 7 is the ninth installment of the long-running Chinese game series titled The Legend of Sword and Fairy (but also known as Chinese Paladin). It is a xianxia/shenmo action RPG i.e., heavily inspired by Chinese mythology and philosophy. This is also one of the very few fully-fledged Chinese RPGs that have an official translation (at least those I am aware of).
The game is marked as "unsupported" on Steam Deck but works perfectly fine and out-of-the-box. The graphics look really nice, the combat is smooth. If you are looking for a new, semi-open world RPG to spend few evenings with, this might be a good choice :) The downside is the pretty big size of the game itself - over 40 gigs.
