Here's my playthrough of (in my opinion) one of the very underrated games of its time - Mad Max, released in 2015 and developed by Avalanche Studios. I remember the early presentations of the game and was really amazed by what I saw. I mean, it was an open world Mad Max game and I was crazy about anything post-apocalyptic (I still am but the new franchises simply lack that special something which made old-school Fallouts or movies like "The Book of Eli", "The Postman" or "Escape from New York" feel realistic, terrifying and immersive at the same time). I remember that the game received pretty mediocre scores after the release but nonetheless I purchased it on Steam and played the heck out of it, maxing (no pun intended) everything out. The combat style was pretty new to me, fluent and exciting. The exploration and free-roaming was rich, with great views, because yes, even barren lands can be breathtaking if done right. It felt like a new great Fallout game that I waited for.
Of course that was simply my own opinion. Hence this playthrough. Once I got myself a Steam Deck OLED, I decided to replay some of the games in the cozy atmosphere of my living room. The game is played with SD set to FHD output, the game is set to "Default" SD resolution with FSR upscaling turned on. The game works well and looks well. And it still plays well.
