Look, A Return to Salem’s lot has a lot of problems, But it does have a ton of heart, some good performances, including the great Samuel Fuller, and even some plot points that would be used in future vampire lore. Larry Cohen wrote and directed the story that he wanted to do with elements from his original script and found the good in a bad situation, so it’s up to us to find the good in a not-so-great movie.
