Hey. So today I want to show you what I believe is the correct way to store your most commonly used consumables in your quick items as well as your pouch in Elden Ring.

For reference quick items is the box of ten items here, whereas pouch is the six new pockets that you can see here.

and in my case I am going to illustrate using the multiplayer items that I use the most, apart from of course, the super important crimson flask.

So the last two rows of the pouch are the least accessible in the heat of battle, and so I place my messages writing tool here, but you can place whatever you want.

And i suggest you place your small golden effigy here on the right so that with one seamless press, you can send your summon sign to far and near, which i assume is what everyone does all the time.

And the first slot in my quick items, which you can reach with a long press of the down button on the d pad, is not reserved for the crimson flask, but instead for the furcalling finger remedy, so that i can quickly search for available co-op summons, as well as to cancel if I don't get any summons, which happens a lot.

Now comes the most important part: you place your crimson flask in one of the three remaining pouch pockets, whichever you like. The rest you can assign to say, your lantern and your magic horse slash goat foghorn. This all might seem a bit unintuitive at first, but just trust me: it becomes second nature and gets burned into muscle memory far faster.
