I've been working on this collab for the past... maybe 4 months now??
It is, by far, the craziest video I've ever done, and I'm, oh, so proud of it!
We had a bunch of setbacks and issues, but, at the end, it was all worth it!
It all started when Hashel announced the Gametabs Final Fantasy VIII album. I started to listen to the soundtrack in search for a cool track to listen. My initial impression, tho, was that most of the tracks were boring to death.
That impression led me into listening to the soundtrack at 1.5x the original speed (thanks Youtube) and, while listening to A Sacrifice, inspiration struck me: " Wait, I could put one of those Dirty Loops basslines over this! ".
A Garageband demo, then a Reaper project and then a midi file.
All I had to do now was finding the right people for this. Fortunately enough, I have the most talented Youtube friends ever!
Initially, Hashel was in our line up, but he had to drop the project due to some personal problems and scheduling.
With that being said, he was kind enough to find us another amazing guitarist AND recommend a bassist, in addition to supplying us with his feedback.
Meeting Chequer was an amazing surprise! I didn't know him, but I knew lots of people who knew him and, as time went by, I found out that he's not only an amazing bassist but also a real gentleman (and also Brazilian)!
Well, all I have to say now is "thanks". Thank you, Felipe, Chequer and Pierre for helping me with recording and mixing.
