A Valley Without Wind: Battleground, Building and Cave Exploration, Stealth Assassination
I'm playing (essentially) the release version of A Valley Without Wind, a strategic role-playing platform game. I die. Twice.
Included:
- I take part in a Battleground mission. They are harded than they used to be, and I don't keep an eye on my health as closely as I should have.
- Death isn't a big deal (you keep everything except for your character upgrades).
- Undiscouraged, I start improving my new character's health, mana, and attack by searching for upgrade stones in stash rooms inside buildings.
- I earn a new enchant (works like items in RPGs) that's slightly better than the one I have. There is a lot of variety with enchants as you progress.
- Then, I start to get better spells by seeing what resources I need and where they are located. Usually, it's a combination of underground caverns and missions in specific environments.
- So, off to explore some caverns in search for gem veins
- I have a pretty epic boss battle
- I get my gems and head back to unlock new spells
- Then, it's time for a stealth assassination mission, where the dungeon map doesn't tell you where the boss is. It doesn't end well. I don't even get to the boss, cornered by a skelebot.
Not Included:
- A whole bunch of stuff, like the other mission types and guardian power scrolls (a whole range of buildings, upgrades, and short-term worldwide spells).
