I'm about 9 hours in on this oil painting of Spiderman in the black symbiote suit.

I'm not spectacular or amazing at oils yet, so its taking me a time to learn. Lots of resources on youtube, and whenevere I'm getting frustrated I take a break and zoom out on it.

"When in doubt...Zoom out"- me. That's actually a reference to looking at a stock chart in a larger time frame to get a better understanding, but it applied here too. Anytime I'm caught up in details I back out and look at it from a distance.

Very fun so far though, and I'm using a statue/figure picture that I beleive is based on Clayton Crane's awesome painted work. I definetly like to look at his work to help understand how to render, he's amazing at rendering in paint!
