Aatrox' visual and gameplay update is on the PBE, and it'll be a little while before we know the full extent of his lore, and a full What's the Deal with Aatrox video is on the cards once we get to that point.

For now, though, let's talk about the differences between his old and new designs, and some of the changes that this signals to his character, as well as some reasons why those design choices might have been made.

(PS: The fact that Varus looks nothing at all like any other Darkin and didn't receive a visual update is one of the major failures of the Varus lore update. Just in case anyone wanted to bring him up.)
