Abandoned Places - A Time For Heroes - Longplay 010 - Ruin de Maaria
Abandoned Places - A Time For Heroes was developed by the Hungarian development studio ArtGames and published by Electronic Zoo (at least the Amiga version in Europe) in 1992. Mobygames lists International Computer Entertainment Ltd. as publisher. I guess this applies to the IBM PC version.
It is a grid-based dungeon crawler in the vein of games like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. Admittedly, it does not reach the same quality standard as both aforementioned games, and thus is always considered as mediocre. However, I had a lot of fun playing through this game.
After obtaining all three parts of the Sword of Darkness, we'll have to put it back together. This is done at the Ruin de Maaria. This dungeon can be a bit tough this early in the game (which is why I bought some Extra Healing Potions at the end of the last video) but its loot is well worth the slight difficulty increase.
