Welcome to GhotiBowl, a review/analysis/comedy series directed towards fans of media analysis and to aspiring creators who wish to improve their craft. In each episode of GhotiBowl, I will be going through one or more pieces of media and offering critique from the viewpoint of a long-term fan of storytelling in media. In this episode, we're going to take a look at the game Piglet's Big Game, developed by Doki Denki Studios and released on PS2 and GCN in 2003. Loosely based on Piglet's Big Movie ("loosely" being the keyword here, since the two have virtually nothing in common), Piglet's Big Game stars Piglet as he invades the dreams of his friends in an effort to face his fears and help them solve the problems they were unable to solve in the real world. How charming! This video is going to analyze the surprisingly well thought out level design in this game and explain just how this game manages to capture the atmosphere of Winnie the Pooh so well!
