so, Aurora Breath kind of surprised me by not getting "ally" slapped anywhere.

Although nobody will read this anyway, a comparison between Aurora Breath refine and Arcane Grima:

- Aurora Breath still grants Attack +3. It just does.
- Arcane Grima has to be Attack refined, but it only grants 2 attack.
- Both grant a Slaying effect. (Aurora Breath: effect refine only). Kinda neat, and if you're feeling particularly spicy you can add Emblem Marth for 2CD Glacies or something.
- Aurora Breath's new base effect when refined at all now grants +6 Attack/Defence/Resistance with NO CONDITION. A huge step up from "+6 Attack if unit initiates, +6 Def/Res if foe initiates".
- Arcane Grima grants +5 to all non-HP stats, if unit is at or above 25% HP. While it's not hard to stay above 25%, this can technically still switch off. Will Seiros miss the +5 Speed? Who knows?
- She might not miss it anyway - Aurora Breath's new base effect allows her to make a follow-up attack in BOTH PHASES. Again, this CANNOT be switched off by lowering her HP. Another step up from "can follow-up if unit initiates"
- Arcane Grima can also make a follow-up attack in both phases, but again it has a HP condition. The follow-up attack was a big part of why a inimiga favoured Arcane Grima so much.
- Aurora Breath now denies the foe's follow-up attack in both phases (unless they have NFU or something). This is big, as Grima does not do that - meaning Seiros would rely on Attack Smoke 4 for that. She can still benefit from Attack Smoke 4, mind you.
- The new Aurora Breath base effect has had a Guard effect added to it. Remember the days of Bracing Stance 3?
- In case your foe's Special is pre-charged, Seiros was also given Attack/Resistance Scowl to deal with this. I MAY try it out. (there is a Distant Counter (Dragons) seal, after all)
- Aurora Breath's effect refine deals 15% of the foe's Resistance as damage on her first attack. (excluding AoE Specials). This DOES have a HP condition. 25%, which is almost negligible...
This probably won't end up doing massive damage, as 40 Res gives 6 damage. Still, it's something.
- Arcane Grima deals 15% of the user's Attack as damage on all attacks (even AoE specials). Having 70+ attack means that this would do 10. Aurora Breath Seiros can benefit from dual Ploy 3 if she wants more extra damage, as it inflicts Exposure. Again, Arcane Grima has a HP condition for this.
- Aurora Breath's effect refine grants an extra 4 Attack/Defence/Resistance during combat. It's not displayed stats, but it's like running stat refines. This also has a 25% HP condition. Her entire effect refine does.
- So, Aurora Breath gives +10 Attack/Defence/Resistance vs Arcane Grima's +5 all non-HP stats. Pretty neat.
- Aurora Breath's effect refine now gives her basically Dragon Wall (up to 40% damage reduction based on the difference between Seiros's Resistance and foe's Resistance, if Seiros has higher Resistance), to go with her native Dragon Wall 3 and... Wings of Light+. I'm not even going to talk about Wings of Light+. I still can't use it. Given Seiros's huge Res, the damage reduction is nice, even if some bosses may have even higher Res...
- Near the end now... and both weapons grant 7 HP to the user after combat (with a 25% or more HP at start of combat condition, yes). This is useful for staying above 25%. Combined with something like Counter Roar 4 or Mystic Boost 3/4, going below 25% and staying there is almost impossible. Unless you get hit straight to 0%.
- Lastly, being breath weapons, they both do adaptive damage vs ranged foes. Unless they carry Mystic Boost.

side note: Aurora Breath has a MUCH shorter animation than Arcane Grima lmao
