NEMO and Jaeger are scrambled to provide air escort for a transport plane carrying UPEO's delegate named Clarkson to a town called Cape Rainy in order to attend a secret peace talks between Neucom and General Resource with Fiona piloting the plane carrying Clarkson. However, as they fly over Lambert Mountains, Fiona's communication uplink with her collegues is jammed and the transport plane is ambushed by a squadron of General Resource's jets. As NEMO and Erich manage to fend the attackers off, Rena arrives to the airspace as well and Park contacts the pilots, claiming that both Fiona and Clarkson are spies before ordering them to shoot their plane down much to Jaeger's shock and Rena's indifference. Faced with the choice of either disobeying UPEO by refusing to shoot or obeying and killing his squadmate and friend, NEMO decides to shoot the plane down, killing both Clarkson and Fiona.

Later, NEMO is personally contacted by Park who commends him for deciding to obey the order and swears NEMO to silence regarding the truth behind the incident in Gilbert Mountains which is officially covered up as an accident as Park takes over full control over UPEO due to Clarkson's death...
