Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation Playthrough (No Commentary)

This is running on an Xbox Series X. Note that you need the physical disc in order to play this game on a Series X as you cannot purchase the game digitally. This means you cannot play this game on a Series S.
This game does not actually receive any enhancements while running on a Series X, except possibly with load times. The DLC is also completely unavailable at this point in time and it's unlikely it will ever be made available again due to licensing.
This is segmented and edited. There are no in-mission edits.
This Ace Combat introduced operations, which was not carried into Ace Combat 7. Considering that over a decade of passed between the two, maybe they forgot?
Anyway, operations allow you some flexibility in how you progress through a mission. Don't like escorting allies and fighting ground targets? Go for the anti-air operation. Each mission has an operation quota and each operation has its own requirements for S ranking. You have to average an S rank across each operation you do and meet another requirement in the final mission update to achieve S rank for the mission overall.
Notes
Sound mixing is all over the place. I've done what I can to equalize things. Some of the cutscene voice overs sound like they were recorded in a tin can, even without boosting the audio. I'm not sure why it's so different during gameplay and during a cutscene.
I dislike flying in third person and the field of view is way too narrow for cockpit view.
Shamrock best (most effective) wingman in the series.
Weapons of Mass Destruction is one of my favorite missions in the entire series.
Unfortunately, I don't love the following mission, Liberation of Gracemeria. Ignoring the story, it's just not laid out very well in my opinion. Two operations overlap and the radar jamming makes it easy to accidentally fling some missiles at planes attached to the B or D operation or finish the E or F operation prematurely, which can ruin an attempt. Calling allied attacks or cover can do the same thing. I take an A rank here as to S rank the mission update requires shooting down 35(!) drones. This involves upwards of 30 minutes of flying in a circle and I just hated it. Gave me some awful Project Wingman flashbacks. As much as I like that game, it does fall apart when it tries to be "difficult"
I preferred it when S ranks were time related, personally.
