Ace Combat 7 - Merdeka Day Special (Part 6)
1In honor of Malaysia Independence Day on 31 August, I decided to do a AC7 playthrough with the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) asset in the game with RMAF's livery mods from Nexusmods (thanks to the mod creators). The playthrough are also a fabled story about Lt. Mohd Ali, callsign Trigger. A RMAF pilot transferred to OADF as a part of joint training program.
Synopsis:
After successfully destroy the Alicorn, the LRSSG got a short break before their next mission. But the chief maintenance crew have some bad news regarding Strider 1 plane. After the post sortie inspection, it seems the experimental COFFIN system have putting some stress on the Su-37SM airframe & some hairline cracks detected around the main fuselage. Trigger's piloting, the high-G maneuvers & battle damages from the last battle finally hurt the girl (Su-37SM).
All is not lost though, the chief and LRSSG called in some favors & managed to got their hands on Trigger's former aircraft from his old squadron at Fort Grays (F-18F Super Hornet) and Bulgurdarest (MiG-29F Fire Fulcrum). Trigger is trilled to get back on his former planes & surprised it still in good conditions. With the crew chief's elbow grease & some parts laying around the hangar, the team managed to upgrade the F-18F into higher spec.
But the MiG-29F will be getting longer to refurbish as its not a standard plane in the OADF inventory but a field upgrade from the Scrap Queen. So it's not be ready in the next mission. Nevertheless, Strider 1 plane is ready just in time for the next mission & Trigger appreciate them for keeping the old livery. With the new F-18F Super Hornet Spec. II, Trigger will be ready for the Farbanti capture.
The crew chief also talked about the Su-30SM upgrade in the future, with data received form the COFFIN. He's confident to create a better plane than the Wyvern or even the Falken. The chief told Trigger to look forward for it...
